ES José Luis Ramírez es un artista de Durango y desde muy joven tuvo contacto directo con el campo y la realidad del agricultor mexicano. Su familia le enseñó a forjar su carrera y nombre a través del trabajo. José Luis quiere que, con su obra, el espectador sienta curiosidad y confusión, que tenga un espasmo y que frente a sus pinturas pueda formar una historia propia. Su obra, como él la describe, es cínica, divertida y preguntona. Participó en 2019 en Eyes East Bound, International Cairo Biennale, El Cairo, Egipto y en 2021 en el XIII Florence Biennale. Forteza da Basso, Florencia, Italia. Fue nombrado uno de los 100 creativos más importantes de México en 2021 por la revista Forbes y está por ingresar al Art Basel de Miami en diciembre 2023. Su obra ha sido expuesta en diversos países y cuenta con más de 60 exposiciones individuales y colectivas.
